Sometimes you just have to order a pizza.
I always start the week out with a plan for meals on Sunday. I make a big dinner that will provide leftovers for future nights and lunches, I chop fruits and veggies for the week, and I devise a master plan to take us through the week. I have grandiose visions of everyone eating all of their fruits and veggies. I have delusions of no one complaining.
By Thursday, we have eaten all the leftovers, eaten as much healthy food as I could peddle, and we have a busy night. Both kids take gymnastics so we rush home from work, pick them up from their respective places, get them changed and attempt to make it to the gym and be on time! Needless to say, getting home and cooking dinner or even reheating dinner is not happening.
So Thursday has become pizza or carry out night. We do our best and the kids like it. Everyone is happy with a hot slice is their bellies. This week I am going to try to make a frozen lasagna on Thursday. We'll see if that happens.
Then we frequently have a dance party.
Right now the kids can't get enough of the Moana soundtrack. Of course we mix in a little of our good old standbys from Frozen. Who doesn't love "Let it Go"?
The kids are all about kitchen dance parties. Truth be told, so am I.
